Heroes on the dunes
Heroes on the Dunes is a meaningful two-day event dedicated to honoring and supporting our nation’s veterans and first responders.
The weekend kicks off with a golf outing at the beautiful Benona Shores Golf Course, followed by an action-packed dune day at Silver Lake ORV Park. Together, these experiences bring the community together in support of those who have sacrificed so much to protect our freedoms.
The Heroes Operation was founded from a deep commitment to serve the men and women in uniform who give their time, strength, blood, sweat, and often their lives in service to others.

23rd Annual Apple & BBQ Festival
The Silver Lake Sand Dunes Apple & BBQ Festival returns September 11–12 in Silver Lake, Michigan!
Enjoy two full days of live music, a beer and wine tent, food trucks, and a craft show featuring more than 140 vendors. The weekend also includes a classic car show, 5K run, axe throwing, kids’ activities, and so much more. Families will love the pony rides, face painting, and petting zoo, while food lovers can indulge in mouthwatering BBQ, freshly baked pies, and locally grown apples.
